8 Day Intensive Plant Spirit Medicine Retreat with Javier Zavala Lopez

Arrive in Lima on or before April 1st. We fly to Tarapoto on April 2nd and begin the 8 day Programme.

Optional extra days at Hampichicuy are available for anyone wishing to stay longer and have an adventure/exploration excursion or rest and integrate after the programme ends. Please contact me for more details

Our programme finishes on April 9th unless you arrange to stay on longer or join our week long programme in Sacred Valley with our Qero Shaman and Elders






Day 1 ~ April 2nd

Start of Programme

We fly from Lima and arrive at Tarapoto airport on the morning flight, then we transfer to the centre.

Arrival at Hampichicuy.

~ Reception and welcome at the Centre
~ Register in the guest book
- Settle in to our rooms
~ Group meeting and explanation of the seminar/programme


~ Purgative Session in the Malloc (Emetic Purge) this helps to remove many toxins at the physical level and also assists with release at the emotional and psychological levels. Making the evening plant medicine ceremony more powerful and also allows us to receive the benefits of the medicine without so much resistance and also with less nausea or vomiting

~ Break and an opportunity for some more rest
~ Light lunch

~ Bath with medicinal plants

~ 1st ceremony in the Malloc (Evening)

Care and follow-up by the therapists and shaman continues throughout the whole Seminar/programme

Day 2 ~ April 3rd

~ Start of the 'dieta' with traditional food (salad, fish, rice, quinoa, chicken, oats, etc. No salt or sugar) and intake of non-visionary master plants according to each personal purpose for 5 days.

~ Care and follow-up of the therapist


Day 3 ~ April 4th

~ 2nd day of dieta.
~ Bath with medicinal plants
~ Care and follow-up of the therapist
~ 2nd ceremony, plant medicine session

Day 4 ~ April 5th

~ 3rd day of dieta
~ Group session and sharing following 2nd ceremony with plant medicines
~ Care and follow-up of the therapist

Day 5 ~ April 6th

~ 4th day of dieta
~ Care and follow-up of the therapist
~ 3rd ceremony, plant medicine session

Day 6 ~ April 7th

~ We end the dieta programme today and begin a more regular diet gradually introducing sugar and salt. Returning to a regular diet through Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
~ Group conversation and sharing
~ Salad of seasoned onion and chicken soup with vegetables
~ Rest and relaxation is encouraged through the day as usual
~ Start of post~diet recommendations and practices

Day 7 ~ April 8th

~ Breakfast (light), following the post diet programme
~ Observation and post evaluation, where are you now? How are you feeling? What are there experiences and insights that you are working with and what support, if any, do you need at this time to assist you.
~ Group conversation and sharing
~ Lunch
~ Free afternoon
~ Dinner (light)

Day 8 ~ April 9th

~ Light breakfast following the post diet guidelines
~ Observations and post evaluation sharing and feedback. Dietary guidelines and other recommendations to follow
~ Farewells and goodbyes to the staff and centre and the end of the seminar and programme unless you are staying at Hampichicuy longer
~ Departure from Hampichicuy
~ Transfer to Airport for flights to Lima

You can arrange to stay longer at Hampichicuy if you wish, to rest and integrate, or to explore the local places of beauty and interest. Please let us know if you would like to do this so that we can advise the centre.

The itinerary is delivered on the understanding that on occasions it may be necessary to make some alternate plans if unexpected conditions arise that prevent the safe and enjoyable delivery of the planned programme, such as extreme weather.

Passports and Visa's. Entry visas are obtained on arrival in Peru. There is no charge for this and all that is required is to complete a simple form in-flight before landing in Lima. Please check your passport expiry date. Peruvian authorities require that you have at least 6 months left on your passport when entering the country even though we will only be staying a few weeks.
